Modify Plan Station Funding for Construction Items

<BLOCKQUOTE>This function allows authorized users to modify the fund code or quantity for an existing construction plan station, or to modify the details describing the plan station. Construction Plan Stations are automatically created by the system when the apparent low bidder is determined and Design Plan Stations exist for the project. Authorized users may also manually create construction plan stations if no design plan stations existed.<BR><BR>Once the construction plan stations are created, they can be modified by authorized users in ECMS while the project is in Pre-Award, Award, or Pre-Construction status. Once the Notice to Proceed is issued for the project, Construction Plan Stations can no longer be created, deleted, or modified in ECMS.<BR><BR>If the project is a CDS NextGen project, NextGen becomes the source for all construction plan station data but does not pass the data to ECMS during Work Order or Estimate processing. For ECMS projects, Construction Plan Stations are not modified or updated via Estimates or Work Orders created in ECMS. Construction Plan Stations can be accessed via the Go links on the Construction Item detail screen.

Description

Construction Plan Stations are automatically created by the system when the apparent low bidder is determined and Design Plan Stations exist for the project. Authorized users may also manually create construction plan stations if no design plan stations existed.

Once the construction plan stations are created, they can be modified by authorized users in ECMS while the project is in Pre-Award, Award, or Pre-Construction status. Step-by-Step Directions

User Action Result
    Open your browser software and access the ECMS Welcome page.
The ECMS Welcome page is displayed with the navigation bar on the left.
    Using the Registered Users Login fields at the top of the navigation bar, enter your user ID and password. Click GO or tap the Enter key.
The ECMS Welcome page appears. Your user name now appears at the top of the navigation bar, and the navigation bar options are tailored to your security group(s).
    From the navigation bar, select the Contractor Services option.
The Contractor Services options available to your user group are displayed.
    Select the My Projects option beneath Contractor Services on the navigation bar.
The My Projects page is displayed and lists the projects associated with your personalized search.
    If desired, update your personalized search by clicking the Personalize Project Search link.
The search fields are displayed and open for entry.
    If needed, enter search criteria to narrow the displayed listing of projects, then click the REFRESH button.
The My Projects page is updated based on the search criteria.
Select the project whose construction plan stations you wish to modify by clicking in the checkbox in front of the project number. A checkmark appears in the checkbox.
Choose “Construction Items” from the Go links and click the GO button. The Construction Items list is displayed.
Click the Item Number hyperlink for the construction item whose plan stations you wish to modify. The Construction Item detail screen is displayed.
Choose “Construction Plan Stations” from the Go links and click the GO button. The Construction Plan Stations list is displayed. This screen lists all of the plan stations associated with the construction item and provides a summary of the Fund Code, Plan Station Quantity, and Item Quantity.

This screen allows data entry of fund codes and quantities for existing plan stations. New plan stations are created and existing ones are updated via the detail screen, which is displayed when the user clicks the Begin Station hyperlink.

If you are modifying only funding and quantities, click the EDIT button on this screen to open the Fund Code and Quantity fields for data entry. Fields can be updated.
When you are finished updating the funding and quantities, click the SAVE button. The screen is saved.
To create a new construction plan station, click the ADD button. The Construction Plan Station detail screen appears in create mode. Complete the required fields and save the screen.
To modify the details for an existing construction plan station, click the Begin Station hyperlink. The Construction Plan Station detail screen appears in read mode. (Click the EDIT button to switch the screen to edit mode. Make any necessary updates and save the screen.)
