View Master Item

<BLOCKQUOTE>This function is part of the Design Administration subsystem and is used to search for and view a master item.
<P><BR>The View Master Item function provides part of the Master Items Maintenance functionality and is accessed from the Master Items List when the user clicks the item number hyperlink corresponding to the master item they wish to view. This action displays the Master Item Details screen for the item. The Master Items List itself is accessed via the search function on the Master Items List Maintenance home page.<BR><BR>Note: Throughout the Help system documentation, the term ‘master items list’ refers to the comprehensive list of item numbers and their associated details which are stored in the ECMS database. This term is used to distinguish this list from the ‘Construction Items Catalogue’, a document about the master items, which is maintained outside of ECMS. <BR></P></BLOCKQUOTE><BR>

Step-by-Step Directions

User Action Result
Open your browser software and access the ECMS Welcome page. The ECMS Welcome page is displayed with the navigation bar on the left.
Using the Registered Users Login fields at the top of the navigation bar, enter your user ID and password. Click GO or tap the Enter key. The ECMS Welcome page appears. Your user name now appears at the top of the navigation bar, and the navigation bar options are tailored to your security group(s).
From the navigation bar, select the Design Admin option. Additional options appear beneath Design Admin. These options are tailored to your security group.
Select the Master Items Maint option from beneath Design Admin on the navigation bar. The Master Items List Maintenance home page is displayed.
If desired, select a value from the Status drop-down list to narrow or broaden your search. The entry you selected appears in the Status field.

On the Master Items List page, click the item number hyperlink for the master item you wish to view. The Master Item Details screen is displayed in read mode.
If desired, click the Standard Special Provisions hyperlink to view the special provision linked to the master item. The Standard Special Provision screen is displayed in read mode.

Note: If no Standard Special Provision is linked to the item, this field is blank.

Click the BACK button to close the Standard Special Provisions screen. The screen closes, and you are returned to the Master Item Details screen.
Click the BACK button to close the Master Item Details screen and return to the Master Items List. The Master Items Details screen closes, and you are returned to the Master Items List.
