| Open your browser software and access the ECMS Welcome page. |
The ECMS Welcome page is displayed with the navigation bar on the left. |
| Using the Registered Users Login fields at the top of the navigation bar, enter your user ID and password. Click GO or tap the Enter key. |
The ECMS Welcome page appears. Your user name now appears at the top of the navigation bar, and the navigation bar options are tailored to your security group(s). |
| From the navigation bar, select the Project Services option. |
The Project Services options available to your user group are displayed.
Note: You can also access the Project Team screen via the My Projects option under Contractor Services. In addition, most screens contain a link to the Project Team screen in the header. |
| Select the Project Home Page option beneath Project Services on the navigation bar. |
The Projects home page is displayed. |
| Enter search criteria, for example, the Project Number and click the SEARCH FOR PROJECTS button. |
The Projects list is displayed and includes all projects matching your search criteria. |
| Select "Project Team" from the Destination Screen drop-down list and click the Project Number hyperlink for the desired project. |
The Project Team screen is displayed in read mode.

| Use the down arrow icon at the upper left of the display to jump to the bottom of the screen. |
The lower portion of the screen is displayed. |
| Click the EDIT button. |
The screen switches to edit mode. |
| To add a project team member, click the selection arrow to the right of the team member role. |
The standard ECMS User Selection window is displayed. Depending on the team role you are assigning, the list is either comprised of only users in an authorized user group.
When the list displays PENNDOT users, it is also filtered based on the Admin Org Code (i.e., the District) associated with the project. This means that if the Project is administered by District 6-0, only Project Managers whose User Org Code is 06xx are displayed in the list. |
| In the Select Items to be Added list, click the "X" in front of the name or names of the person or people you wish to add to the team in this role. |
The name(s) is moved to the Selected Items list box. When assigning the Project Manager (Design ) or the ACE/M, only one name can be selected.
Note: The list of entries is organized alphabetically by last name. The name is the name that appears on the person's User record in ECMS and may differ from the name by which you refer to them. For example, "Chip Smith" may appear in the system as "Douglas Smith". |
| Click the OK button. |
The ECMS User Selection window closes, and you are returned to the Project Team screen with the user name(s) displayed in the appropriate field. |
| Click the SAVE button. |
The new team member is saved to the project and has immediate access to any functions their team member role grants them.
Note: The Public Team Members field provides a text field to enter the names of individuals or organizations with an interest in the project. However, no system access or user rights are granted based on one's name appearing in this field. |
