To make the user interface more consistent and user friendly, all of the pop-up response windows (i.e. Yes/No & OK) have been formatted the same way.  This should make the interface with the system easier to learn and more consistent in appearance.

Federal Project Number (FPN) is now displayed in the header portion of all forms.  This allows the user to view the FPN regardless of what form they are looking at.  An FPN field was added to the Package Document.  This will be the only editable FPN field in the package.  All other FPN fields will be display-only and reflect the value entered on the Package Document.

Using DOLS to go "offline" was taking longer to download and synchronize with each passing month due to the amount of packages being entered into the system.  A modification was made so that each user now only downloads package documents in Preparation or Revision status plus anything checked-out (by anybody) that the user has access to.  This will speed up the "go offline" process and still allow users access to everything they need to work on.

Edit on Pro fields were having problems resolving spaces within edited data and was sometimes giving users error messages that did not allow continued editing of the package.  Changes were made to the way these fields are resolving "space" issues and the number of errors with Edit on Pro fields should be reduced.

Environmental Managers (EMs) will now receive an email notification when a District Engineer (DE) approves a level 1B CEE package.  This will help streamline the communication between DEs and EMs.

Additional functionality was added to the MPMS Search Screen to allow sorting within the search results to make it easier to find the project you are looking for.  Additionally, the MPMS number is now a link that can be clicked to automatically copy the number into the Package Document.

The Wetlands Documentation section of the CEE form was changed as approved by FHWA.   The first five listings were deleted because they are no longer required.  Two questions were added regarding "practicable alternatives" and "practicable measures".  A checkbox for "EO 11990 Compliance" was also added.  For any questions on these changes please see Kathy McKenna, EQAD.

A new view has been added to allow the Central Office group to list all packages by status without any district categorization.

An Archive process has been added to the CE/EA Expert System.  This is a separate place where inactive and approved packages reside so that the active package database can be kept as small as possible to allow quick response times for users.  The Rules for packages moving to the archive database are:

1. Packages in Approved status for more than 30 days.

2. Packages in Preparation status with none of the documents having been modified for 180 days.

The archive databases are accessed through the "LINKS" on the left-hand navigation frame.  The archives are listed by date to make it easier to find the package you are looking for.  To access the database, click on the link by date and the archive database system will open in a separate window.  To restore an archived package that is in Preparation to the main database use the "Recover" button.  Archived packages that are Approved use the same process to create Evals or Re-evals as in the main database.
