Title:

Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plan

Type:  General Help

Category:  CE

Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control (E&SPC) plans are required if construction is proposed to disturb 5,000 SF (464.5 square meters) or more of land in order to minimize accelerated erosion and prevent sedimentation damage. In accordance with Design Manual, Part 2, Chapter 13, and PA DEP's Erosion and Sediment Pollution Control Program Manual, the plans are prepared in conjunction with construction staging plans, detailing what erosion control measures must be in place at all times during various construction stages and phases. Dependent upon the wetland/waterway encroachment permitting process the project falls under, the E&SPC plan may be reviewed by the state (PADEP) or the county conservation district.
